Based in Portland, OR and Sebastopol, CA, Gray Blue Gardens embraces collaboration in our landscape work - culminating in pollinator-rich, biodiverse gardens that honor seasonality and sustainability. We design thoughtful spaces where family and guests can relax and recharge—joyful spaces that invite gathering year-round. The land we work is stewarded by our team and consultants through resilient practices—using fire-wise design planning, locally sourced materials, climate-adapted planting and thermal comfort to guide our design process.

Led by Elisabeth Weinstein, the consultancy deeply investigates each unique site—inspired by the terrestrial ecosystem, viewsheds, wind patterns, watersheds, fire patterns, botanical fragrances, and variabilities of the seasons. Whether in a wild or urban setting, we believe each site has a history that can be revealed through an inspired garden.
